Mr. Corbacioglu is founder and managing partner of CaBo Capital. He is a senior performance improvement specialist who has been helping build global market leaders and making businesses more valuable for over 25 years. As principal, he has worked on over 100 deals worth north of $20 billion, completed over 20 deals worth over $1 billion, generating over 25% unlevered returns. He has also advised on completed deals worth over $13 billion, delivered over $850 million in annual profits to clients, and helped investors realize 3-20x returns on investment.
He is also a co-founder and managing partner of AP Capital Investments, a middle market buy-and-build investor, which he has started in the US and expanded to Europe. Recently, Mr. Corbacioglu was a managing director of Blue Ridge Partners, a boutique consultancy solely focused on accelerating growth of businesses, where he advised private equity firms in their acquisition, integration and growth acceleration of global portfolio businesses. After joining the firm in the US, he has built the European practice of the firm from scratch. Previously, as vice president, business development and licensing at Covidien/Medtronic (NYSE: COV, formerly Tyco’s $10B+ Healthcare Division and MDT) responsible for mergers, acquisitions, integration and other external partnership opportunities where he lead the $400M acquisition and integration of BARRX Medical, spearheading the entry of Covidien into Gastroenterology and various other deals.
Earlier, Mr. Corbacioglu spent four years with Danaher Corporation (NYSE: DHR), an industrial and medical technology holding company well regarded by its peers and Wall Street for their acquisition and integration methods. As Vice President of Business Development he has helped build a $1B, 20% operating profit strategic platform from a $450M, 15% operating profit business and supported several other portfolio businesses in their strategies and acquisitions. Previously, he was responsible for acquiring, transforming and building leading businesses in positions of increasing responsibility for Bain & Company and for A.T. Kearney.
Mr. Corbacioglu holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Bogazici (Bosphorus) University in Istanbul, a Master of Science degree in engineering and computer science from Harvard and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
